New Music News: Songwriters assure that Homestead’s Revenge is coming…

Will YOU get the Revenge? We certainly hope so!

“Homestead’s Revenge”, the new album from Masters of the Universe, is coming out tomorrow.

April Fools?

We hope not, but I for one won’t believe it until I see it.

Needless to say, I’ll be downstairs mastering songs for a LONG time tonight, then working on covers, back covers, inside spreads, mp3 files, and websites. Ugh. But, this album’s worth it- you’re going to LOVE it!

More details as they come in tonight…

“I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better” (Byrds Cover)

Here on the Laptop Sessions, I give you my favorite song of all time: “I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better” by the Byrds. Gene Clark, the writer of this song, wrote MANY great songs over his career, and you’ll be hearing a lot of them on the Laptop Sessions in the months to come. But, this song is just PERFECT to me, and here’s why:

It’s got everything I love in a song. It’s got a great guitar sound (courtesy of Roger (Jim) McGuinn), a cool riff, great words, chorus harmonies, and a killer jangly guitar solo. I love everything about this tune and hopefully I’ve done this song justice.

Of course, in order for me to give the song the respect it deserves, I recruited Chris Moore ( http://www.youtube.com/user/chrismooremusic ) to help me with harmonies and rhythm guitar.

So, I hope everyone enjoys this version. I’ll be playing one of my other favorite songs in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned!

“Jamnation 1” Video Blog Clip

A few weeks ago, Chris, Jeff, and I combined for the launch of the new Fusco-Moore.com. We were so excited and planned for weeks to do “Jamnation”, an EP of songs played live in our studio, then overdubbed live (again!) to make a total of six “musicians”.

We were very pleased with the way it turned out and had a TON of fun doing it- no arguments or anything. Of course, Jeff always brings that kind of fun to the table, so that’s one of the reasons we wanted him in Fusco-Moore Productions. Below is a short video documenting some of the work we did that day. Now, we’re all looking forward to Jamnation 2!
