WCJM Free Internet Radio Station: “The Originals Show” – 2007

By WCJM Free Internet Radio:

Six months from the last Moore Hits in the Morning broadcast, Jim thought it was time to do another free Internet radio show. Actually, the idea was to do another Christmas show in time for the holidays, but as seen throughout the years, scheduling has been tough.

So, after much debate about whether or not to actually do the show, Chris, Jim, Mike, and Alberto met up to do a four-person show for the first time in almost ten years. The result is a great show that is both memorable and hilarious!A long skit-writing segment took place, as Jim and Chris worked hard on skits and Mike and Alberto worked on TNWST reports. It got a bit stressful, as you’ll hear Mike and Alberto making of fun of Jim during the show about it.

Chris’ skit about the WCJM Merchandise Store made the cast laugh hysterically about all the fun new products based on past skits and characters. Jim also paid homage to Matt’s Celebrity Jeopardy from Beyond the Grave skit by doing his own. You’ll be surprised at some of the guests! This is the first WCJM show recorded completely on the computer, as opposed to MiniDiscs or tapes. Thankfully, the recording process went off without a hitch, and the levels came out great.

The Originals Show puts songs by bands while they still had original members alongside the original four cast members of WCJM Radio’s Moore Hits in the Morning. This one’s sure to please and keeps the WCJM free Internet radio station alive and well!

WCJM Free Internet Radio Station: “The Rock & Roll Christmas Show” – 2000

By WCJM Free Internet Radio:

Dave Perrelli decided to join the cast because he heard and liked the Everything is Christmas Show.  So it was no surprise that Dave was very insistent on doing another Christmas Show.  Luckily, Jim and Mike had enough music to do another show, and thus the Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas was made.

The free Internet radio show was done on very short notice because of different scheduling conflicts, and after school on Wednesday, November 22, 2000 the show was done.  The cast was picked up from a half day of school by Jeff Copperthite, one of the writers for the show (also playing Ron Popeil).  They went to eat at Subway and came back to Jim’s house to do the show.

This show contained many of the more personal touches that the World Series Show lacked.  Even though Chris didn’t talk as much as he wanted to on the air (I say, “Tough!”), there was more than just great music.  There was a skit with Dr. K, a story by Jeff and a story by Chris, and Jeff’s tips of the day.  And everyone’s favorite bear came back to join us on Christmas show as Stuffy D. Bear made the whole cast crack-up again.  There was also a new song that was never heard before made by Jim Fusco himself.

But of course, there were problems.  The show was originally made to fit on one 74 minute MiniDisc.  Unfortunately, Traffic, News, and Weather ran very long and the show did not fit in the allotted time.  So, Jim Fusco decided, with help from the rest of the cast, to put the show on another MiniDisc.  This let the show breathe a little more, and allowed for Jeff and Chris’ stories.  This free Internet radio show is a timeless classic that will be played for every Christmas to come!

WCJM Free Internet Radio Station: “The ‘Live’ Show” – 2001

By WCJM Free Internet Radio:

Right after (the same day) the All-American Show, the WCJM cast decided to do the “Live” Show.  This free Internet radio show was originally going to be done live on the internet (note the quotes around “Live”)  but the cast decided to just put live versions of their favorite songs on the show instead.

The members of the cast were the same as the All-American Show and Jim did his Food Critic and World Report segments as well.  Matt contributed his hilarious comedy segments and his special brand of music to add variety to the show.

Stuffy D. Bear came on the show to do another segment, making the cast laugh again and again.  The cast even sang one of Jim Fusco’s songs, “Something Is Out Of My Life” live on the air.  The song came out very good, despite Dave’s crippling singing ability.  (All of Jim Fusco’s songs are copyrighted 2001 by Fusco-Moore Productions, a subsidiary of WCJM Internet Radio Co. and stealing their material is punishable by horrendous acts of discipline).

With a great “live” feel to it, this show came out really well and is a classic for those who love concert versions of songs.  Oh, and for those who like to laugh, this show is up your alley as well!  This free Internet radio show really makes you feel a-“live”!

WCJM Free Internet Radio Station: “The Everything is Christmas Show” – 1999

By WCJM Free Internet Radio:

Jim Fusco had one favor to ask of Chris Moore. The favor was to have one more Moore Hits in the Morning broadcast before the new millennium. Chris (to Jim’s surprise) readily agreed, and the date was set or November 27, 1999- two days after the start of “Christmas Time”. They decided to do a show solely based on Christmas because of the Thanksgiving “vacation” and the abundance of songs Jim had based on Christmas.

But Jim had made a BIG “mistake”. He mentioned the free Internet radio show in front of Alberto Distefano, who readily wanted to join. Jim said yes out of the goodness of his heart, and Alberto became part of the show. The now four member team arranged at Jim’s house, and the new Moore Hits in the Morning took the air.

For this tape, Jim bought the correct wires to hook up the CD players, and all four of the members had their own microphones (Alberto was put on the karaoke, but they fixed the level problem). This show was packed with over 25 Christmas songs, and a few segments for Chris to read his “Stupid Crooks of America” stories. This tape, although with a lot of feedback at times, came out to near-perfection, inspiring them to do one more tape before the new year.

This is just one of the many excellent shows available at the WCJM website, a virtual treasure trove of free Internet radio delights!
