Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of the Laptop Sessions! Chris Moore and I got together to record our duo version of “Run Rudolph Run” by Chuck Berry — watch the video here.
About “Run Rudolph Run”
Chuck Berry released “Run Rudolph Run” as a single in 1958 on Chess Records, and it’s been a rock-and-roll Christmas staple ever since. It’s essentially a 12-bar blues rave-up with a holiday twist — pure Chuck Berry, and one of the coolest Christmas songs ever recorded.
Chris and I cut loose on this one — it’s impossible to play a Chuck Berry song without grinning. Our duo version keeps the rock-and-roll spirit front and center. Merry Christmas, and watch out for Santa’s reindeer!
