By Jeff Copperthite:

Jeff Copperthite is working on a new album called Greenlight. Catch some insight on how he is doing by watching this video.

Jeff walks you through his thought process as he works with his recorded guitar tracks. He comments on his process, procedure, and thoughts in progress.

Keep watching for a news tidbit from www.fusco-moore.com, and continue to check out www.guitarbucketlist.com for everything related to Fusco-Moore Productions!

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, Jeff’s acoustic cover song music videos are no longer on YouTube, but we decided to keep his cover song blog posts up. We figured these music blog entries would be good for posterity’s sake and because Jeff always gave such insightful posts each Session. We hope to see Jeff’s impressive catalog of acoustic rock songs here on the Laptop Sessions cover songs and origianal music blog again in the future. But, for now, please make sure to check-out hundreds of other acoustic cover songs from all of your favorite bands here on the Laptop Sessions music blog!

“Question” (Moody Blues Cover)

By Jim Fusco:

Okay, request time here at the Laptop Sessions. This one’s going out to my longtime friend Drew Kingsley.

“Question” is a great tune by the Moody Blues off of their (you guessed it) “Question Of Balance” album.

I hope you’ll all like my acoustic-ized version of the song. Of course the strumming isn’t as insane as Justin Hayward’s is- I can actually play it at that speed, but have a bit of trouble keeping time when I do. So, I chose the safe route for this version. I think the effect is still there because of the dynamics used.

There are plenty more Moodies songs and request fulfillments in the archive- I loved the every-third-day schedule, as it really let me pick tougher songs and practice them until they were perfect for posting!

“Walking After You” (Cover – Foo Fighters)

By Jeff Copperthite:

Welcome to Friday’s edition of The Laptop Sessions. It’s Jeff tonight bringing you another new band to the sessions.

Foo Fighters are more known for fast grunge rock, but i’ve always been a fan of Dave Grohl’s writing. The song I chose is from their 2nd album “The Colour and the Shape” called Walking After You. It is a calm song and easy to listen too.

It only took me 2 takes this time, and that beats the previous 2 songs by about 8. I think i’m back into the swing of things finally. Also, I have finally mastered the new camera.

Stay tuned for more sessions, as Jim wows us with yet another installment of The Laptop Sessions.

“Echo” (Tom Petty Cover)

By Chris Moore:

Welcome back to another edition of the Laptop Sessions!

One of my favorite Tom Petty albums is the little-known 1999 album Echo. I found it used in an FYE about a year ago, and although it may not be his best album ever, it immediately grew on me. There are some really great tracks on it (out of 15 tracks, you’d hope so!), including the title track that I’m playing here. It took me a bit of practice to be comfortable playing this song without a cheat sheet in front of me — certainly not for the chords, but for the words, which change every chorus. In the end, it was a lot of fun, and I’ve been playing it pretty much every day since I recorded it.

Some day, I might get up the “balls” (as Tom Petty might sing) to play “Rhino Skin,” one of the best tracks on the album. Take a listen to it some time, and maybe you’ll see why I’m not quite there yet… 🙂

Don’t forget to check out more great Laptop Sessions from Jeff and Jim- and then [insert: Arnold Schwarzenegger voice] I’ll be back!
