Musician Jim Fusco Gets His 500th YouTube Subscriber!

Incredible!  It happened by surprise, as Jim Fusco logged-in to his YouTube account and noticed that he had 500 subscribers to his acoustic cover songs and original music videos!  Jim’s looking forward to his next milestone of 250,000 views, which he hopes will come within the next couple of months.

It’s been a great run since Jim started recording his Laptop Sessions acoustic cover songs back in November of 2007.  In less than a year and a half, Jim has rocketed to popularity with his YouTube videos, which he brings to the world on a weekly basis.

His new album, “Halfway There”, is slated for an April 7th release, and more details about the album are coming very soon.

Jim would like to thank all 500 of his loyal subscribers and here’s to 500 more!

This just in: 300 views to the blog today! That’s a new record AND with two minutes to spare!

By Chris Moore:

It is with great pleasure that I announce a new record for the blog.  As of today, we have broken our daily view record.  Previously at 263 viewers in one day (calculated back in December), we’ve started off February with an even 300!

This is exciting, and it is an expecially hopeful sign for the year to come.  Hopefully it will be one of diversification and growth on the blog.  In addition to the daily music videos we post, we have begun to add chords to popular (and also some obscure) songs and we have continued to write articles having to do with writing, recording, and listening to rock music.

Rock music is what we know how to do best, and we’re here to share whatever we can in as wide an array of formats as possible.

Speaking of which, I’ll be back in a few hours, posting for the third time today with the first in a series of rock music articles.

Thank you for all your support and all your views!  Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your lovers, and, heck, even tell your pets.  We’ll take all the views we can get!  🙂

Chris reaches the 70,000 YouTube views milestone!

By Chris Moore:

Hi all!  I’m about to post my very special Christmas Eve video, but before I do, I wanted to announce that (as of yesterday) I have passed the 70,000 views mark on YouTube.  This is really exciting, especially considering that I racked up about 400 views since I checked yesterday, which is a lot more than average.  Most of the credit goes to the “Green Christmas” video that I posted on Sunday, with help from Jim.

So, once again, thank you to all who are watching and enjoying the sessions.  Please tell your friends about the Laptop Sessions!  Tell your relatives!  Tell your lovers!  Tell complete strangers!

Seriously, though, thanks for watching, and I look forward to learning some great songs for you as we roll into 2009.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Jim Fusco Hits 130,000 YouTube Video Views, Plus New Domain Launched

Big news here at Fusco-Moore Productions, as we’ve acquired the domain name cover-songs.com!  That’s right: now your source for cover songs has a great name to go along with it!  Over the next few days, we’ll be working hard to get photos of ALL the bands we’ve covered here on the Laptop Sessions and organizing them on the frontpage of the site.  The site really is just a section (or portal) to the familiar Laptop Sessions site.  I may decide to come up with a new design for it.  The goal of this site is to get people to find our cover songs, then to have them make the connection to the blog community over here at the Laptop Sessions.

Ideas are (as always) frantically running through my head, but I feel awfully tired, so they’ll have to wait a bit more to come to fruition.

Also, probably last night, I hit 130,000 views on YouTube!  I’m still holding out hope that I can get to 150,000 by the end of 2008, which I think would be a nice accomplishment.  Hopefully there will come a time where I can only announce in 50,000 view counts, but for now, it’s still a nice event at each 10,000.  This time it took me 21 days, which is right on schedule, as of late.  Of course, I’d like that number to decrease as time goes on, so we’ll have to see if the new domain name helps us at all.

Just another step towards greatness here at Fusco-Moore Productions!
