“Fleeting Thought” (Acoustic Original song by Jeff Copperthite)

By Jeff Copperthite:

I hope you are having a great evening, and thank you for coming on to guitarbucketlist.com and checking out your Original Wednesday selection. Today I bring you a never-before-heard Jeff Copperthite original song.

The song is called “Fleeting Thought”, and was a song I wrote during the Greenlight writing sessions. No recorded version exists, except for this video. The song is about being unable to control your past, but being able to affect your future.

When I write songs, I almost always use the acoustic guitar to do so. However, before I actually record a song in the studio, the arrangement usually gets changed quite a few times. So while you will probably hear this song in a future album, the arrangement will probably be quite different.

Also, my voice was giving me some problems today, so I was unable to sing this song as well as I usually can. However, the guitar playing came out well, but it does drown out my voice a little bit. Still, the performance is a good one and I am glad I get to bring it to you today.

Come back tomorrow for Jim’s next session, and thank you again for visiting https://guitarbucketlist.com/!

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, Jeff’s acoustic cover song music videos are no longer on YouTube, but we decided to keep his cover song blog posts up.  We figured these music blog entries would be good for posterity’s sake and because Jeff always gave such insightful posts each Session.  We hope to see Jeff’s impressive catalog of acoustic rock songs here on the Laptop Sessions cover songs and origianal music blog again in the future.  But, for now, please make sure to check-out hundreds of other acoustic cover songs from all of your favorite bands here on the Laptop Sessions music blog!

“Aware” (New Music – Independent Music Songwriter Jeff Copperthite)

By Jim Fusco:

Welcome, welcome to Jim Fusco’s edition of “Original Wednesday” here at the Laptop Sessions! This only comes every three weeks for me, so when I get a shot, I make sure it’s a good one.

So, I bring you a great tune off of Jeff Copperthite’s new album, Greenlight, available here:

“Aware” is a song about a man wondering what’s going on when he’s not around his significant other. Don’t we all feel this way at one time or another? No matter how much you trust someone, the question still lingers sometimes.

Jeff goes on to say, “Perhaps I am scared of something that’s not there.” Very true. But that still doesn’t stop him from thinking about it!

This has got some great chords, a catchy tune, and is nice and fast-paced. It’s a great pick-me-up to the later part of Jeff’s album and sets up the last track, “Easy”, very well.

I hope you enjoy this edition of “Original Wednesday” and I’ll be back with one of my own originals from the new Masters of the Universe album, “Homestead’s Revenge” in three weeks. Stay tuned for my next video on Saturday and Chris’ video tomorrow at https://guitarbucketlist.com!

“Don’t Be That Way” (Indie Music by Songwriter Jim Fusco!)

By Jim Fusco:

Welcome to Original Wednesday! How exciting for me, because it only comes once every three weeks.I can’t wait until my new music officially comes out so I can do Sessions of those songs, but for now, I’ll settle for my last album, “What About Today?”

This song is called “Don’t Be That Way” and it kicks off the album. There’s some references to my past songs in here, so if you know any of my older music, you’ll get the “inside lines”. This song goes along those lines of someone taking and not reciprocating as much as I’d like them to. Must be a pretty strong topic with me! 🙂

Well, I recorded this just last night, so you see I’m back to health again. I actually recorded 8 total songs last night! Hey, if you’re on a roll, don’t stop it.

If you really like this song, and I think you will, you can download the original version on iTunes! That’s right- just search my name, the name of the album (What About Today?), or the name of the song and you can get it for only 99 cents!

You can also buy the physical CD on Amazon.com, CDBaby, or at my own website by clicking here!

MoU even did a version of this song on their first album. Same thing- you can order it on iTunes, CDBaby, or on our own site by clicking here!

I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for an amazing Thursday pick from our own Chris Moore!
